The Interview - Interviewing people from all across the industry; so many great stories to be told and to hear.

EP ran over 100 video interviews during the pandemic and we were fortunate to have many great feedback as to how many enjoyed listening to the interviews. As of next week, we will be restarting a new series of interviews, not just with the high profile figures, but with those from all across the industry with stories to tell.

We are very fortunate in that many approach us with their tales of how their careers, of their moments of adversity and how they made their dreams come true. The new series will seek to explore just great stories from the unsung players as well as those who lead businesses. We will be talking to entrepreneurs, emerging talent, those from disadvantaged backgrounds, and those from all across the world as we seek to tell the story of Hospitality from different angles.

The great thing about hospitality is that there are great people and great stories everywhere. Our aim is to give these a platform to bring to life. Sometimes, reality feels almost too hard, too complex; stories from others give people inspiration, hope and reassurance.

It was one of the factors that struck us most during the first hundred interviews; so many found reassurance in the tales of others. We had many comments as to how the interviews helped them during a difficult time.

The founder of Starbucks was turned down 217 times out of the first 242 investors he spoke to. Of course, the story now is one of finding success through rejection but it would also be great to have held an interview during the hardest of times. We can all learn from listening to others.

So if you have a great story to tell, then do let us know.
