The historic Lambeth Palace opened its doors this week as the newly renovated Great Hall was unveiled in a glittering evening of high-end hospitality provided by the Palace’s catering partners Food Show. An impressive space, the Hall can hold 250 for a reception, and 150 for sit-down dinner. The London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Palace is set in nine acres of beautiful manicured gardens, and has been on the same site since the 13th century. It has been a favoured venue for celebrations ever since, including the opulent banquets of King Henry VIII. The Palace is filled with a sense of history, which gives atmosphere to every event hosted there. All the event spaces were open for viewing during the evening and guests were able to take tours, with the beautiful Guard Room and State Room attracting a lot of attention. In the Great Hall guests enjoyed Champagne and seasonal cocktails, and Food Show’s incredible canapes and bowl food.
