Dinner, wine and a good conversation

“An Evening with...”

As part of the various EP initiatives to engage with industry and create real opportunities to meet with other professionals in the sector, we have partnered with Michelin Star Chef Herbert Berger at The Innholders Hall to host a series of dinner events entitled “An Evening with...”Designed as an opportunity for an intimate group of no more than 20 people to meet and mingle, these events also feature a “guest of honour” - a personality of note from the sector - while enjoying a gastronomic delight of 7 courses with wine prepared by Herbert and his team.Edward Griffiths, Deputy Master of the Royal Household on Tuesday 24th SeptemberEdwardWith a wealth of experience in the sector, Edward has spent the last number of years managing the hospitality team behind the scenes at the Royal Palaces. It would be easy to think that the Royal Wedding, the birth of a future Monarch, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the Coronation Festival might have been enough to occupy Edward’s time over the last few years however running a household with so many schedules, such diverse requirements and in some of the world’s most historic venues throws up some interesting challenges!Gerard Bassett OBE on Wednesday 30th OctoberGerardGerard Bassett is considered by many as the most successful wine expert and sommelier in the world. One of the co-founders of Hotel du Vin, Gerard was also appointed “Officer of the Order of the British Empire” in 2011 acknowledging his contribution to the British hospitality sector and later named Decanter Magazine’s Man of the Year in 2013.Rolf Munding on Monday 4th NovemberRolfRolf is perhaps one of the most prolific and successful entrepreneurs in the UK.
