The Gala Dinner also celebrated a further 20 talented young chefs, pastry chefs and waiters, who successfully achieved the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts' Annual Award of Excellence 2017 in finals held in May and June.

Boom in Germany's hotel investment market set to continue

• Investment volumes in Germany in H1 2017 reached €1.83 billion, driven by the strong increase in single asset transactions, reflecting a minor decline of 8% compared to the same period last year.
• Last year witnessed a number of large portfolio deals. Despite that not being the case this year, the German hotel investment market has shown strong results in the first six months.
