A fusion of international influences to create unique design

Clare has long been an independent spirit who has walked a different path to many; mainly as she has a naturally creative passion for food and design which has been developed from a number of global influences.

In the following interview, Clare talks of her upbringing in The Highlands, of her time spent in India and Sri Lanka which did influence a lot of her thinking as well as her home bases in Spain and London. Clare does not see International boundaries but brings together influences from each into her work.

Clare has recently launched Studio Garcia (www.studiocgarcia.com) as she recognises the desire of many to rethink space; in homes, in offices and in hospitality. The design of space has become a major discussion feature as more and more have become aware of how space and design does impact on psychologies, on productivity and on spend.

Creating spaces where people do want to spend time will be a key battleground as business and hospitality rebuilds.
