David McHattie’s story has seen great highs, lows and greater variety of perspectives than most will experience in a career. He founded and built his career with Mitchells & Butler, was mentored by the great Tony Hughes before later joining Fullers. Thereafter he became the COO of People 1st before heading up the National Skills Academy as CEO.

David now runs his own businesses and still has a passion for hospitality. Always positive, he is a great idealist who believes in only what the industry can offer. There are few stronger advocates or champions for the industry, so his story is one worth listening to.
