Ten things which raised an eyebrow this weekEP brings you a brief round-up of some of the news items which were perhaps as surprising as they were enlightening - An American man has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder after he accidentally pocket-dialled a former employee while discussing plans to have him killed
- Referred to as "a master class in patronising" Samsung ran a competition purporting to celebrate "some of the most amazing women out there" - offering the winner the incredible prize of (wait for it) a new kitchen!
- Hundreds turned out to march in protest this week in Mexico City demanding equal rights - for Zombies!
- Move over MacGyver! A web developer in America has built a fully functioning gun with such seemingly innocuous items as a hair dryer, rubber bands, a tube of “Mentos” and some magazines - all purchased after passing through airport security
- Billed as a “model of co-existence between polar bears and humans”, the town of Churchill, Canada is having to adapt to the side-effects of climate change. As bears are forced further inland in search of food, the resulting increase in attacks on humans have residents looking for a solution on how to continue to co-exist peacefully. The answer? Polar bear jail
