Robin Hood Campaign Reworked
Robin Hood Campaign Reworked
How can companies support? EP introduces many entrepreneurs to leading players across the sector. This ranges from pitching panels with invited entrepreneurs to networking events where all are encouraged to be open to ideas. There are many opportunities to get involved and some sponsorship of this activity is a powerful tool. There are many moments when established companies feel they cannot change something that isn't working, so why not take control and bring in a new solution?Last year EP started something special under the Robin Hood Campaign Reworked and something we believed has never been done before. We created a marriage between entrepreneurs and established businesses. There are now over 125 entrepreneurs we support. These marriages are growing and now happening at various levels in different locations but we still need your help and the Industry's support. The aim is to find value on both sides - the entrepreneurs may require finance, business, mentoring and more, the established business may require new ideas and innovation to improve their offer. The world is changing and early adopters and companies who support entrepreneurs will gain the advantage. When did it all start?
We have been working with entrepreneurs in and around the hospitality sector for many years. EP has long supported them because they bring different thinking, products and an altered approach. We found that larger businesses do not have the time nor teams to create these new ideas and may not posses the strategy to create their own innovation hubs. We also found that smaller established businesses require new ideas just as much as the big players. Therefore the marriage was obvious and no matter how small an entrepreneur starts, they can challenge the status quo.Why now?
Recently an Oxfam report found that 50% of the world's wealth belongs to eight people, so it may seem like power lies on one side. However, an entrepreneur reading a situation or business with new eyes can create change. These new companies see a problem and work on a solution. Under difficult circumstances they attempt to transform the current situation and go through a rollercoaster ride. Success and failure lie so close together, but the ideas are ones people can believe in - once they discover them.
