Always seeking to ask new questions to support progressive agendas

2023 has the feel of a new era emerging. Much has changed during the last three years and EP is delighted to be running a number of themes, asking and promoting some important questions and thoughts for consideration.
These include:

  • Later in the month, we are delighted to once again relaunch events where new entrepreneurs will come and pitch to industry elders and operators. We are running this in partnership with Bird & Bird. The relationship between entrepreneurs and established companies has long been important and are hope is to be a bridge which enables both to work with one another.
  • As part of this theme, we will be publishing these stories and thinking what lies behind a number of new concepts.
  • Over the last six months, we have been proud to publish articles from many young talents on how they see the industry and the changing world. This theme will continue as we do want to give a voice to emerging talent.
  • We are publishing several pieces from those in Haiti and the Caribbean on the great talent which exists on the island and how it needs new structures and support to aid development.
  • Advancement in technology has been impacting on many companies and on margins. We ask the question this year as to how technology is changing hospitality?
  • We have a full schedule of events planned for the year which look at business trends and performance.
  • At the same time, we are looking to the past as much can be learnt from history and publishing pieces by industry elders and leaders on their thoughts.
  • We are also a range of new ideas emerge on hotels, resorts, in food service and in education which we will promote.
  • There is also new thinking emerging all the time on how management of people can be evolved. It is interesting that we have found that we have had a number of comments on how the past pieces we promoted on lessons which can be learnt from sport do now resonate with many. As one noted last week “sport is way ahead in how it manages people. It does break new ground all the time and maybe the coaches are the true pioneers which we can all learn from”. What was seen as radical in 2019 is now being viewed as of more importance in 2023.

It is a time of great change and we look forward to telling its story.
